Queen of TV bows out...
25 years ago, when her show went first on air people went frenzy! Yes, who? you ask..Madame Oprah Winfrey(in fake french accent tehehe). She recently did her final show in front of 13,000 studio audience including kina Tom Hanks,Tom Cruise and Will Smith.Oprah is not your average TV lady. No. She was bold and there is no topic she couldnt handle. Granted its United States, yeah anything goes..Good old Tyra tried but well..blew up(ladies this is where you come in. She has taken many awards including Lifetime achievement too. So, as she sets out, I can only say e salute madame, bon voyage...she will be behind scenes concetrating on her Cable Network..eh she is damn rich btw. I Remember when she donated cars and houses to Katrina Victims as in cars...Well, the world will not forget you Oprah :)
Guess its not over yet!
21st May 2011 would have seen the world grind to a halt and believers teleported to the heavenlies...hehe at 6:00pm or 1800hrs if you like...how precise mama mia:) and all this was done with wait...for all you maths haters....A MATHEMATICAL FORMULA! Scream...haha. The day passed and nothing happened Harold Camping, the man who is hitting 9 decades soon was twice shy...like that or was he? I laughed when one anchor, Kanze Dena on 4pm bulletin while signing off said, "Na tusipoonana katika Nipashe saa moja jua nimenyakuliwa" When you don't watch me on air for the 7pm bulletin, I have been raptured..along the way some committed suicide yeah like the chap down at Holy Family Basilica(yaani no one has ever hanged in that church bldg, he was the pioneer 'martyr'. News feed says Camping retorts that it did happen i.e. judgment spiritually and that he had predicted the day using physical formula!(say what) and not spiritual formula(Shentente bossi riswaaa) hehe....you know what all this is nuts pure guys read YOUR BIBLE. Not even JC knows the damn day, but its good ro be prepared anytime..as one church aptly puts it GET YOUR PASSPORT(the other one)READY...going beyond the yonder...yeep!
Breakfast with Prayer Menu
Forgive me for asking, can food and serious prayers mix? Ask some serious believers, Fasting is the WORD.Dry or otherwise:)
Setting: High end 5 star hotel, Sunny Thursday morning
Cast: High powered creme de la creme delegation, a few religious chaps if any scattered around.
Event: Usual,Breakfast with prayers(read) served oh and some few hymns too.
Look I value and see the importance of prayers. Indeed even the Bible says if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. My supposition if truly these were prayer meetings, the same would translate to the way things are done across the govt and business circles as in we would see leaders who stand for their people(dont mention sonko here) and re genuinely passing change in governance matters. I think the event has just over the years turned into just that an event! Did I mention, we borrowed this Idea from the states....hehehe

He is Out Again!!
The male secretary allegedly became his latest catch, yes you know him, he is a priest and runs Koinonia Orphans home. Father Kizito is out, yes released. You see the guy was caught last year on claims of sodomy and released in December as in Kenya courts characteristically 'no evidence was found'. Okay, the sec was tested at Nairobi Womens Hospital and found that indeed he was sodomised. He confessed on Citizen TV that the priest invited him for lunch and the next thing he found himself having lunch on the 'bed' yiikes! Now, as to why a suspect is released before presented to court is a story even a cow cannot fathom..maybe some outside powers are involved/influencing? hmm.....lets see!
Living Large as A King
This story has ran in the media for the last couple of days and has got heads turning.
So the 'youthful' MP Joshua Kuttuny, in his characteristic Swahili Lingua stands in Parliament and claims The PM Agwambo Rao has been spending lots of kenyan taxpayers money on his trips abroad, citing the recent US one. Well, apparently 7,000 USD was spent per night ehhh that tranlsates to a whooping 602,000( Imagine how that cost a week could help the IDP's) I digress. Now, Rao responded of course saying a Kenyan PM cannot spend at some lodging in New York River road( Is there river roadian lodges there kwanza?. You see something is wrong with the African politics if it is not corruption, its some pot bellied President hanging onto power as a flea. We need to have a leadership change for heavens sake. I have no problem with the PM living lavishly, he is entitled to it, he hassled to where he is currently. My problem was when KM went on his shuttle 'air' diplomacy all the way to NYC to beg UN to defer the cases back to Kenya. As you well know, the deal went madly sour, as in the guy didnt come back with even a fruit to Kenya. Here we are people suffering from hunger to lack of homes and yet billions spent lavishly.Oh, by the way did I mention that as you sit to watch the Budget 2011, if you will that 145 million will be returned back to the treasury as unspent from the govt ministries?....Yes we are charitable like that...

Oh church can be routine
Kenya is said to have 80% of Christians. Well, numbers are just that numbers, of the same born again Christians maybe just 10% or less of this number. Now, of the nominal Christians many have grown up knowing that Sundays or Saturdays are church days...from childhood its become a norm. I am not complaining only that at some point someday you will sit down and see this as a routine and a boring one for that matter if you are a usual christian i.e. the Sunday type..Today virtual church is now in our homes thanks to live broadcast of church services on Sundays. Many are glad..like phew i can slumber all Sunday..on my couch! ouch if my reverend heard that, you would get some good summon. Many are today avoiding church as it came to a point that things were usual, lives were not changed even those that went they could hardly wait for the summons to end so that they go home/out for hanging outs..Well, religion may not get you to heaven but at times you need to get your act together..read the bible, pray often, fellowship with others, have genuine friendships. The church of biblical times grew in numbers because they fellowship together and many were born again. For church in Kenya to bring about changes, we need serious transformation among us as individuals first and committment to see things change for the better...so start going church today:)
Technology bana common
I was dismayed yesterday when a whole doctor, a spokesman of a whole government appeared on television and expressed his shock at the fact that Ocampo decided to use video conferencing to address Kenyan journalist at 1pm.In his own words, the guy says its 'strange' I went like OMG where in the world is this guy coming from? I mean seriously! its 21st century for crying out loud and technology is fast evolving. My goodness in fact social media is the in thing now, that actually toppled two presidents out of power..yes its that powerful. You see times are fast changing really and even more when digital technology checks in..so just a word of advice change with the times or change will sweep you. For government officials hehe that why we need young blood in there to bring change and who knows one day this will be possible like a true revolution.
